About the Lane Literary Guild

The Lane Literary Guild has supported the literary arts and authors since 1984, with many of its founders still active members in our community today. From organizing workshops and critique groups to sponsoring the Windfall Reading Series, the longest-running series in the area, the Lane Literary Guild has a rich history in the Eugene-Springfield community of supporting local writers. The Guild's latest project, the Lane Writers Network, promises to bring Lane County writers together like never before. We encourage you to share this website with all writers in your network.

The Guild is a member-driven organization, with memberships helping support additional readings in the area including the Springfield Poetry Series and the River Road Reading Series. The Guild also provides publishing stipends to support publications of its member critique groups, such as Penumbra, a poetry anthology by the 1st and 3rd Thursdays group.

An annual meeting featuring an open mic and potluck is held in June during which time officers are chosen for the coming year.
